Call for Proposals on Climate Change and Resilience Research Grants

Makerere University has recieved a grant from the Rockefellor Foundation to support the
implementation of the project, “Strengthening East African Resilience and Climate Change
Adaptation Capacity through Training, Research and Policy Interventions.”

The African Crop Science Journal was established with the primary objective of providing a forum for presentation and review of research results on Tropical Crop Science that can be readily accessed by researchers and development leaders in Africa and other developing countries, and all those concerned with agricultural development issues in the region. The most important characteristic of the Journal is that it addresses in an integrated manner all aspects of Crop Science and Production.
Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory (MAK TC LAB)

Tissue culture is a means of in vitro micropropagation that allows rapid multiplication of plants in a relatively small space under environmentally controlled and aseptic conditions. Millions of plants can be produced at any given time using this technology that has no parallel in any of the traditional propagation methodologies.
